We're having a GIRL!

The wait is over! We are having a baby girl! The doctor said she looks very healthy, we are so happy to hear that. Her heart rate was 141 bpm, she's approx. 11 oz, and 6 inches long. She's our little butterball turkey.

Here she is all curled up... just 19 weeks old.

17 weeks

We saw the doctor on Monday, everyone is healthy. The baby's heart rate was 150 which is strong. Our next appointment is October 1st... finally we will be able to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. I can't wait, I'm counting down the days!

At 17 weeks, this is a description of what is going on with the baby:
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

16 weeks

Here is the 16 week belly....

It doesn't look much bigger to me but I guess it must be because I'm way more comfortable in maternity clothes now. The baby is just over 4 inches from crown to rump. We have our next appointment on Monday the 14th. I wish we were having an ultrasound but we'll have to wait until the next visit in October.

Labor Day in NY

Millie took her first long trip up to NY for Labor Day.... she did great. Here she is posing for the camera on the way up.

As soon as we arrived we enjoyed some Nirchi's pizza (yumm!) and then headed out to Newark Valley to play golf. It was perfect weather and we all played pretty well too. Somehow I managed to lose Mom's golf visor (I blame it on pregnancy brain).

I had a chance to meet up with my favorite Haworth friends. It was so nice to catch up with everyone, I really miss you guys!
Aunt Lynne and Uncle Rich had us over for dinner and we celebrated my birthday. Mom made delicious blueberry pie. Actually, Mom was baking yummy desserts the entire time.... it was so nice!!!

Before we headed back to NC, I had a chance to stop by and see Megan, Emma and Jess. Short but sweet and I was so glad to see them!

NY was really nice, the weather was great but we especially enjoyed seeing all of the people we miss so much.

It's the last week of August....

Grammy and Grampy Labbe were visiting from NY this week and brought the baby a hand knitted pure white blanket. It is so soft, we love it!

Jason and I drove to Charlotte with Jen & Emma early Saturday morning to see the Hortons. Jason started his fantasy draft with the boys and the girls went to see Lilly cheering at her first football game. She was awesome!

I think the baby kicked 2 nights ago but I haven't felt anything since. It felt like a little flutter. I'm starting to grow out of a lot of my normal clothes although some still fit. I just don't like anything tight on my belly.

We also splurged and bought a new tempurpedic mattress on Sunday.... I could feel a difference overnight. I slept better and wasn't stiff in the morning. I love it!
